Stephanie Richard: My name is Stephanie Richard, I’m the Internal Communications Advisor at the Calgary Zoo.

So we have about 300 full time permanent employees at the Calgary Zoo, and we’re on 125 acres of land on an island in central Calgary.

We have a bunch of different major communications projects going on at the zoo concurrently, and so our big challenge is making sure that we’re able to find engaging ways to get those pieces of information across to our really important stakeholders.

We just wanted to make our emails really engaging, and without Bananatag we weren’t able to get that same clean on-brand polished look across. So it just kind of made everything really seamless across each of these different projects.

With Bananatag metrics I’ve learned that 40% of our users check on mobile devices, and so that makes it really a great piece of knowledge for us to know to make that more responsive going forward. We make sure that we tailor those messages for mobile devices.

I use Designer for not only for the major construction project but also for some of our surveying and also some of our events on ground. So it’s really been helpful across a whole span of different things that I do internally.

Using Bananatag has been really valuable for my management team to be able to see the value of Internal Communications. It’s been great.

It’s very easy to use, it’s kind of a no-brainer product for us. You don’t have to have a ton of experience to use it. Easy!
