Why do I keep getting an ‘Invalid user’ error?

Before continuing, try logging in to your Bananatag account here. The email you use to log in to your Bananatag account must be the same as the one you are sending from.

If you are still receiving an ‘Invalid user’ error message on Outlook, please ensure you are sending from the same email address that you registered your Bananatag account under.

To create an account, click the ‘download’ button on the top menu. Under the Outlook column, click the ‘Download Now’ button, input your email and click ‘Continue to Download’.

If you are still experiencing issues, please create a btcommunity account and submit a support ticket.

Gmail Browser Extensions

Before continuing, try logging in to your Bananatag account here. Make sure that the email you used as your Bananatag account login is the same as the one you wish to use for tracking within Gmail.

Please note.  Some email addresses created in Gmail (especially older addresses, or those created outside North America) may not actually be @gmail.com addresses and may be another variation: @googlemail.com.  Although you can login using @gmail.com, your account itself still sees itself as an @googlemail.com account, which is what it will send to the Bananatag servers when tracking emails.

If you are using our Firefox Extension for Gmail, ensure you create an account by clicking the ‘download’ button on the top menu. Under the Gmail column, click the ‘Download Now’ button, input your email and click ‘Continue to Download’. This will create your account and send you an email with auto-generated password and login details.

If the issue is persistent, please create a btCommunity account and submit a support ticket.

.btag.it Email Extension Tracking

Before continuing, try logging in to your Bananatag account here. Make sure that the email you used as your Bananatag account login is the same as the one you wish to use for tracking with the .btag.it email address extension.

If you do not have an account for the email address you wish to send from, click the ‘download’ button on the top menu. Under the Other column, click the ‘Get Started’ button, input your email and click ‘Send Confirmation’.

If the issue is persistent, please create a btCommunity account and submit a support ticket.

Note: Your primary email is the email address used for sending notifications. Changing the primary email does not affect which email the account is attached to. At this time multiple emails on one account is not yet supported.
